Youth Convention

Ramakrishna Math, Vyttila, Kochi – 19

“Designing India” was the theme of the youth convention organized by the Ramakrishna Math, Kochi, in connection with the 150^th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in which 260 youth from nine different schools participated.

The youth convention was held at the Math Auditorium and was presided over by Srimat Swami Virabhadranandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Haripad, Kerala. In his address Swami Virabhadranandaji Maharaj said that “Designing India” means “Designing Your own self” because each one of you represent INDIA . That India envisioned by Swamiji --- A Great India --- which would conquer the world with Spirituality. But this can only be done when the Youth of India conquer themselves with Spirituality through the achievement of Physical, Mental , Emotional and Moral excellence .

There were POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS by four student groups on the following.

Swami Vivekananda and Personality Development.
Swami Vivekananda and Youth Empowerment.
Swami Vivekananda and National Integration.
Swami Vivekananda and his Idea of Work.

Inspiring video clippings were shown to students and the Presidential Address was more of an interactive session which ensured students proactive participation . All students and teachers enjoyed the Youth Convention which was from 9:30 am to 1:15 pm without a break.
